Feast of St. Therese: Holy Hour and Mass for Vocations
Mark your calendars and join in praying the novena to St. Therese of Lisieux beginning on September 23, 2016.  Bishop Jenky is once again asking the entire diocese to pray this novena.   St. Therese has always been a faithful intercessor for the vocations program, and through her prayers to God, the diocese has been blessed with many faithful, holy priests.  Join in asking her to send an abundance of priestly vocation after the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Co-Curricular Programs Committee
In our efforts to monitor the health and efficiency of our co-curricular programs at Epiphany Catholic School, a committee has been formed that will meet quarterly to monitor and discuss issues pertaining to these programs.  The committee’s main purpose is to monitor program adherence to the school mission, policies articulated in the Co-Curricular handbook, and Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA) rules and procedures.
The committee will include the following:  Principal, Athletic Director, one boy’s Coach (Mike Mayberger), and one girl’s Coach (Julie Nalewajka).  As well as monitoring activities and any areas of concern, this committee will chart a course for the future of our school’s co-curricular programs.    This includes athletics, other IESA programs (Scholastic Bowl), and Fine Arts activities (which encompass both IESA jurisdiction and local efforts related to speech, music, drama, etc.).
This committee will communicate items of interest to our school community, as deemed necessary and pertinent.  We will also periodically seek input from all constituencies.
Introducing ECS Leadership Team
At Epiphany Catholic School, a Leadership Team has been formed to ensure that communication is even more enhanced and on a regular basis.  Currently, the Leadership Team of the Board President, Pastor, Principal and a Faculty Member meet weekly to discuss school operations, mission effectiveness, and issues that may surface and require prompt attention.  The point of the Leadership Team is not to abbreviate grievance or appeal processes, but to ensure a balanced team around the school administrator when issues reach his desk as a result of the above-mentioned processes and when communication around school issues at all levels and kinds surface and are time sensitive.  Please do not hesitate to contact the School Leadership Team (each member of the team will see your email): ecs.leadershipteam@gmail.com.
